A 94-YEAR-OLD Evesham man has died following an incident in the River Avon close to Abbey Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 8am today (Wednesday) after reports of a man in the river.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue joined police at the scene.
The man was taken to the Worcestershire Royal where he died.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
