APT Action on Poverty transforms the lives of thousands of poor and vulnerable people by helping them to help themselves. The unit is run entirely by volunteers on a Monday and Thursday evening from 1900 to 2100. We take any child aged 10 to 18, dyslexia and hyper-activity are not barriers to joining the unit. Things we do include sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, also we teach marine engineering, seamanship, drill, communications, first aid, cooking and all sorts of other fun activities for teenagers.
