POLICE are continuing their drive to stamp out crime through the Cotswolds with three new cars joining the force.
The Mitsubishi Colt superminis will help Safer Community Teams improve their presence across the district.
Inspector Paul Morrissey, in charge of neighbourhood policing for the county, said: "These vehicles are an essential part of our armoury and will be used by Safer Community Teams, especially in the more rural areas, to better patrol their neighbourhoods.”
"It is essential to have the ability to reach every part of our communities and engage with the public we serve and this will only go further in allowing us to do that."
The cars are the greenest cars in the force's fleet with low carbon emissions and low fuel consumption.
