  • Join in the run and raise money for hospice

    19 March 2008

AS THE Head of Care at Acorns in the Three Counties, I would like to ask local people to join other runners fund-raising for Acorns, by taking part in an event this year.
Many of your readers will have started the New Year with a personal goal to get fit and may now be looking for motivation to stay on track. What better way than taking part in a fun run,10k or marathon to raise funds for the care of local children with life limited illness and their families?
My colleague Lucy (01564 825023) can supply suggestions of runs to take part in, and once registered we will can supply running vests or t-shirts and offer fund-raising support.
For those readers who already have a place in a run, such as the London Marathon, we would ask them to use it to make a real difference in the local community by taking up this challenge for our Hospice.
