Bond is back - just wait for the sky to fall

James Bond is back in the twenty-third film in the Bond series, and the producers of this latest film have pulled out all the stops. Filmed all over the world including Turkey and China, Skyfall (2012) sees MI6 come under attack and Bond, played by Daniel Craig, is dispatched to track down and destroy the threat – no matter the personal cost.

The film will be released in the UK towards the end of October, by which time we’ll all be spending more time indoors, opting for the comfy warmth of the cinema instead of outdoor bars on Friday and Saturday evenings. Smart cinema-goers opt for loyalty programmes where they can get reduced ticket prices. After an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, Bond is missing and presumed dead. After the identities of every active MI6 undercover agent are leaked onto the internet, M becomes the subject of a government review over her handling of the situation. When the service itself is attacked, Bond's sudden reappearance gives M the pretext she needs to seek out Raoul Silva, a dangerous villain claiming a personal connection to both of them - but as he follows a trail from London to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.

M is once again played by the inimitable Judi Dench and the stellar cast also includes Javier Bardem as the villainous Silva. Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, the impressive cast and crew of technical experts have no less than 35 Academy Award nominations and five wins between them. As befitting the star-studded line-up, singer-songwriter Adele has written and recorded the soundtrack to the film. Skyfall has also been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of the IMAX Experience. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX's customised theatre geometry and powerful digital audio will leave you feeling both shaken and stirred!
