SHOPPERS can fill up their baskets in Pershore and win a big monthly prize.

Pershore Market Town Partnership and Wychavon District Council are giving away £250 in shopping vouchers to two lucky Pershore Pride Loyalty Card holders in February and March which is ten times the amount normally given out by the scheme.

The special prizes are to coincide with essential gas mains replacement works taking place in the town.

Launched in April last year, the card enables shoppers in Pershore to collect stamps every time they make a purchase in a participating store.

Once a shopper has collected ten stamps they are entered into a monthly prize draw.

Everyone who enters a completed Pride card into the February or March draw will be in with a chance of winning £250 of shopping vouchers. The draws will take place on Thursday, February 28 and Friday, March 29.

Fiona Abbott, organiser of Pride and chair of Pershore Chamber of Trade. “We are delighted to have been awarded this additional funding. It is a real boost and will certainly encourage shoppers to use their Pride card thus supporting the local traders.”
