YOUNGSTERS in Broadway are to be taught the perfect recipe for life thanks to a village supermarket.

Through its Community Savings Scheme, Warner's Budgens has raised more than £300 for the village's youth club which will be put towards a healthy eating programme.

Members of the youth club will be making special visits to the supermarket to source and buy healthy ingredients and local chefs will also be stepping up to the plate teaching them how to create simple, nutritious and wholesome dishes.

The youth club is run by volunteers, Betty Phillips and Carole Halling, on a weekly basis and provides provision for 40 eight to 18-year-olds.

County Councillor for Broadway Liz Eyre said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the youth club.

"It is thanks to the support of Warner's Budgens and their customers that we can offer these essential life skills to our young people."
