THE FAMILY of a motorcyclist killed in a crash in Pershore have described him as a devoted husband with a heart of gold.

Keith Prosser, 43, died on Tuesday (December 18) when his silver Suzuki GZ125 motorcycle collided with a white Volkswagen Passat just after 6pm on Station Road.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but there was nothing they could do to save the Mr Prosser who was from the village of Besford near Pershore.

Worcestershire Coroner, Geraint Williams, opened and adjourned an inquest into his death on Friday (December 21).

Mr Prosser leaves behind his wife Angie, daughter Georgia, parents Sheila and Paul and his brothers Mark and Paul.

His family said in a statement: "Keith's sudden death has left a void in our lives and hearts that will never be filled.

"Known to his close family as Keithy, he was a keen autograss spectator and mechanic, and he loved his beloved motorbike. He was also dedicated to his two dogs.

"He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was loved and liked by everyone who knew him. A man of few words, he had a huge heart and touched many with his warmth. May he rest in peace with all our love."

The driver of a Passat, a man in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the accident. He was later released on police bail while investigations into the crash continue.
