OBSERVER readers are being urged to keep an eye out for three picnic benches washed away from Pershore Riverside Youth Centre during last week's floods.
The benches which were in the field leading down to the River Avon broke their moorings and are thought to have been carried downstream.
Alex Mellor, the centre's development manager, said it was disappointing as the young people who use the centre enjoyed using the benches as a place to sit, chat and watch the various activities going on at the centre.
With youth centre funding tight it is unlikely they will be able to afford replacements.
"The benches are fairly unique, large round ones with four seats," Mr Mellor said.
"Although we have a great riverside location next to the leisure Centre so we can offer the young people all sorts of water sport activities there is the worry when the water rises.
"The stilts should help it survive all but the 100 year floods, but we’ve heard that a lot recently."
Anyone who finds the table should contact Alex on 01386 554713. For more information on the youth centre log onto www.pershoreyouth.org.uk
