Harriers are flying high in Division Four

ANCHOR HARRIERS continued their perfect campaign in Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Four by making it eight victories from as many games as they won the top of the table clash at Elmley Castle 2-1.

The home side led at the interval through Cotton before a second half double from Crenan turned the game around.

Dragons stayed in contention at the top with a comfortable 11-0 win at Ambi Allsports thanks to goals from L Mullins (4), Sinden (3), M Mullins, Terry, Guoite and Gisbourne.

Stour Excelsior Reserves won 7-2 at Bengeworth as Dudfield and Mumford both netted doubles.

Pershore High Old Boys moved to the top of Division Three with a 6-0 home win over Badsey Recreation through Worthington (3), Johnson, Ridings and Andrews.

White's double saw Ashton pick up valuable points with a 2-1 success at Broadway United Reserves for whom Corr scored.

Gardeners Arms thrashed visitors Salford Priors 14-1 as Gary Dyke (4), Beasley (2), McKenna (2) and Huckvale (2) got amongst the goalscorers, whilst the match between hosts Ambassador and Fairfield was abandoned due to an injury requiring an ambulance that resulted in a long stoppage in play.

In Division Two WMK were 3-0 up at home to Stour Excelsior with goals from Sklenaar (2) and Barnfield, only for Stour to hit back through Pratt (2) and Carr to earn a 3-3 draw.

Hosts Lenches Lions and Tesco United drew 3-3 as Lions scored through Davies (2) and Burtenshaw and Tesco registered with goals from Sutherland, Charman and Brotherton.

Bear reached the last 16 of the WFA Sunday Minor Cup with a 3-0 home win over Pockets, but Bredon were knocked out 5-3 at Brewers Athletic.

Eckington lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Areley Kings in the Junior Cup third round and Pebworth recorded an excellent 4-0 win at Ecosamba in the Pershore Hospital Minor Cup second round.

Offenham Rovers progressed with a 2-1 win at Cider Mill.
