PEOPLE of all ages are set to get their skates on this weekend as Evesham's popular synthetic ice rink makes a return to the town after last year's disappointment.

The three-day event had to be cancelled at the last minute in 2011 because of safety concerns, but this year the town council has found a new company to run it with the fun set to start today (Friday).

Skating on the rink, which has been set up in Market Place, takes place from 4pm until 9pm today, 12 noon until 8pm tomorrow (Saturday) and 10am until 5pm on Sunday (December 9).

Sessions are £3 including skate hire.
