AN EVESHAM pub will be celebrating Halloween in spectacular style when one of the town's most famous bands perform a thriller of a gig.
Rockers Wrathchild will take to the stage at The Railway Hotel tomorrow (Saturday) as the High Street venue gets into the spooky spirit of things.
Formed in 1980 by Marc Angel and Eddie Star, the group established themselves as part of the glam metal genre and started off about the same time as bands of the genre such as Motley Crue.
But after more then a decade since splitting up, Wrathchild retuned in 2005 when Angel and Star re-united along with original guitarist Phil Vokins. They then added vocalist Gaz Harris, formerly of the band Beyond Recognition, to the line-up.
Frontman Gaz Harris said the band were looking forward to the gig and getting into the Halloween spirit.
“We absolutely love playing at The Railway for Halloween," he said. "It’s turning into a ritual for us. It’s always a sell out and a great atmosphere.
"It’s a treat for the local fans and we also get to give the spirits and spooks a treat too and in return they leave us alone for the rest of the year which guarantees us good luck. Last year was a great show and we have had a fantastic twelve months since”.
Copies of the band’s latest CD, ‘Stakkattakktwo’, will be given out to those wearing the best fancy-dress outfits on the night.
The metal mayhem kicks off at 8pm and tickets will be available on the door cost £5 or you can buy them in advance by calling The Railway Hotel on 01386 446135.
