Hi: 16° Lo:3° 7 day

PARENTS in Pershore can get some help applying for their child's school place next week.
Worcestershire County Council, together with Abbey Park First School, are offering free help for parents and guardians whose children start school next year on Friday (November 2) at Pershore Library between 10am and 1pm.
Staff will be on hand to guide them through the application process including help with creating and using email addresses.
Applications for primary, middle and first schools have to be submitted before January 15. All applications must be made online.
David Johnson, headteacher at Abbey Park First School said: "Life is hectic as a parent and deadlines for applications such as this can make the job daunting.
"We want parents to make the right decisions and in the timescale provided, so offering a session of this kind at the Library will hopefully be of great use."
Parents will need to have decided which schools they wish to apply for before the event takes place.
Those unable to attend the event can still apply online by visiting www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions.
