A SPECTACULAR fireworks display lit up the night sky in Evesham as thousands of people turned out to enjoy the annual bonfire night event.
Monday's (November 5) town council run extravaganza rounded off a fantastic weekend of organised displays throughout the Vale which thankfully saw the weather stay dry.
An estimated 3,000 revellers descended on Corporation Meadow for Evesham's bond themed display which was put on by award-winning company Celebration Fireworks.
The start even had to be delayed by ten minutes as more and more people piled in.
In the lead up to the main event, entertainment and children's games were provided by Evesham Hospital Radio and a roaring bonfire was lit.
Early estimates suggest the night made a profit of £2,000 which will be distributed between the Mayor's two charities Wallace House Community Centre and Evesham Volunteer Centre.
