EVESHAM Arts Centre will be rocked to its foundations next month when an award winning Queen tribute band comes to town.
GaGa are back with their brand new show, Rock Anthems, paying homage to all the great guitar songs on Saturday, November 10.
Celebrating some of the greatest guitar-driven songs ever written, Rock Anthems takes the audience back to a time when the guitar really was the star.
From Clapton to Queen, Pink Floyd to Dire Straits and many, many more, this is a night of monster hits guaranteed to have the crowd stomping their feet and reaching for an air guitar. Vocals and guitar work are shared amongst three talented musicians John Holmes Vocals, Guitar), Tony Pilling (Bass Guitar, Vocals) and Graham Patrick (Drums, Vocals) who have received
widespread acclaim for their performances as Queen Tribute band Ga Ga. They have performed at a diverse collection of shows with artists including Squeeze, The Spice Girls, Space and Frank Skinner and to crowds of over 20,000 people at events such as the Party in the Park and the Mardi Gras.
The band are also appearing once again at the International Guitar Festival where they have become a firm favourite. This time, however, they are taking on the hits of many of the biggest artistes of all time and they’re relishing every minute.
"Getting to play classic songs like Smoke On The Water, Sultans Of Swing, Sweet Child O’ Mine and Layla is absolutely brilliant," John Holmes, the band’s lead vocalist and guitarist, said.
"And seeing the way the audience reacts to these songs just shows how fantastic they are. It really is 2 hours of massive, massive songs," he added.
Tickets for Rock Anthems are on sale now priced £14 (£12 for concessions, members & groups of 8+) from usual Arts Centre outlets - the Almonry Heritage Centre Abbey Road on 01386 446944 and online at www.EveshamArtsCentre.co.uk.
The show starts at 8pm.
