Buy photos » Things are set to go bang in the Vale this weekend.
AN EXPLOSIVE line up of organised firework displays are set to dazzle thousands of people in the Vale over the next few days.
The fun gets underway tomorrow (Saturday) in Bretforton and Pershore with displays and entertainment at the Fleece Inn and Angel Inn.
Guy Fawkes Revenge at the Angel Inn Gardens will see a bonfire, spectacular fireworks on the riverbank, live music, food and drink and fun for all the family.
There will also be the premier of a musical political satire written specially by Mickeytwonames starring Guido Fawkes, Pompous Politician and Mother Parliament with guest appearances from X Fector judges.
Designed for all the family the entertainment draws on the traditions of pantomime and contains new songs, jokes and costumes. The fun gets underway at 6pm and tickets are £3 for adults and £1 for children.
Meanwhile at the Fleece Inn there will be a more traditional was to celebrate bonfire night with a roaring fire, stationary engines, hand bells and vintage Tilley lanterns. The event is free entry.
On Sunday (November 4) Pershore Town Council and Pershore & District Royal Naval Assocation are putting on their annual fireworks display starting with a pig roast at the naval social club from 5.30pm followed by the fireworks from 6.30pm on King George's field. Entry is free.
Bonfire night itself (Monday, November 5) sees the return of the popular Evesham Town Council Bonfire and Firework Display on Corporation Meadow.
And there will be a licence to thrill as the event sports a bond theme with a musical pyrotechnic extravaganza provided by Celebration Fireworks.
Expect classic Bond tunes including Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever and plenty more with entertainment from Evesham Hospital Radio.
The gates open at 6.15pm, the bonfire is lit at 7.15pm and the fireworks begin at 7.45pm.
Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children (aged five to 16) and on sale at the tourist information centre at the Almonry.
Meanwhile for people in Broadway, St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Leamington Road is also holding a spectacular display on Monday which gets underway at 5.30pm.
