AN EVESHAM company has been given a licence to thrill fans of 007 by sponsoring a special charity premiere of the new Bond film, Skyfall.
Scott Farms International, the UK's leading importer of sweet potatoes, is supporting the spectacular event which takes place next Thursday (October 25) at Worcester Odeon a day before Daniel Craig's highly-anticipated film opens across the UK.
The evening will raise funds for The Prince's Trust.
Stan Smith, CEO of Scott Farms International which is based in Asparagus Way in the Vale Park Business Centre, said the event was in aid of a fantastic cause.
"The Prince’s Trust is an amazing charity which supports and develops so many young people across Worcestershire," he added.
"The Bond premiere will be a great evening and we hope as many people as possible will attend and raise money for an inspiring cause. We are delighted to be involved and playing our part.
"I am a huge Bond fan and can’t wait to see Skyfall; I think Daniel Craig is an excellent 007 – his first appearance, Casino Royale, is my favourite Bond film."
The black tie screening will include a champagne and canapés reception and some very special Bond-related surprises.
The release of Skyfall marks the 23rd appearance of 007 and coincides with the 50th anniversary of the franchise, which began with Dr No in 1962.
Viv Hudson-Findlay, area chair of The Prince's Trust in Worcestershire, said: "Securing an exclusive screening of the new Bond film here in Worcester is fantastic and it promises to be a memorable and spectacular evening.
"It’s not only an event for businesses and 007 fans to glam up and enjoy Daniel Craig’s latest appearance as James Bond, but importantly it’s an event which will raise funds to help inspire and motivate more young people across the whole of Worcestershire."
Tickets for the event, which is backed by the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and which will also be supporting the Severn Valley Railway, cost £45.

At the premiere, Peplow Jewellers in Worcester will be showcasing the Omega Seamaster Collection of James Bond Watches, including the new Omega Skyfall Limited Edition watch. Guests will also be able to enter a prize draw to win a one of the Omega watches from the collection. All proceeds will go to the Prince’s Trust.
