A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with a broken leg after falling off her motorbike in Evesham.
The incident happened yesterday (Sunday) at about 1.40pm near to a petrol station on Cheltenham Road in Ashton-under-Hill.
A senior paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene and found the woman in her 50s laying injured with the motorbike on top of her leg.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "The 999 call initially reported that there had been a collision between three motorcycles and a car, but on arrival crews found one motorcyclist, a woman in her 50s, who had come off her bike and had been injured.
"The woman had sustained a fractured leg and was given pain relief by crews to help stabilise her condition.
"Her leg was then immobilised using a splint before she was transferred to the awaiting helicopter and air airlifted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment.”
