STAFF and pupils at a village school are celebrating after gaining an outstanding report from Ofsted.
Inspectors who visited Church Lench C of E First School earlier in the summer said the pupils' behaviour was exemplary, they were polite and courteous to visitors and kind to each other and their attitudes to learning were excellent.
The report also described the school in Main Street as one big happy family.
Anne Freer, headteacher, said Church Lench was a unique school where everyone was valued.
"I have worked in six schools across three authorities and nothing compares to this village school," she said.
"Classes are small with a high staff/pupil ratio and children here receive an outstanding education.
"We are delighted to be graded outstanding in this inspection."
