THE UNMISTAKABLE sound of the legendary Johnny Cash will be brought to life by Malvern singer-songwriter Clive John at The Swan Theatre on Saturday, September 8.

He'll be performing in the The Johnny Cash Roadshow featuring some of the great hits from Cash's career including Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues, right up until his last release in 2002 called Hurt. The show also focuses on the duets Cash and June Carter sang, including Jackson and If I Were a Carpenter. The band features the award-winning Clive John performing as Cash, Jill Schoonjans as Carter, and musicians Nick Davis, Dean Elliott and Jim ‘E’ Williams in a celebration of one of America’s greatest music performers. New songs have been added to the roadshow for this latest tour including a very special feature with Schoonjans on Autoharp performing as Carter would have. The chemistry of Cash and Carter is also brought to the stage through the accompanying video projection which brings evocative images to each song to complete the story of the life of a legend. Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, cost £18 (concessions £16) and are available from the box office on 01905 611427 or at www.theswantheatre.co.uk
