Six trapped after minibus crash

SIX ELDERLY were left trapped in a minibus after it crashed with a van near Evesham.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Hinton on the Green at just before 12.25pm on Friday (September 14) and found the passengers trapped inside with the emergency exit blocked.

They had to use a winch to release the door and free the passengers who were then checked by paramedics.

Crew commander Chris Pirt said: "The minibus passengers were fairly shaken by their experience but thankfully no one involved is believed to have suffered any serious injuries."
