Store announces Scouting For Girls visit

HOARDS of excited fans are expected to flock to Evesham when chart-toppers Scouting For Girls make a special visit to the town next month.

The three-piece band, who hit number 1 in the UK Singles Chart in 2010 with This Ain't a Love Song, will be popping into the Rapture Entertainment store to meet fans during a signing session and will perform live on Thursday, September 6 starting at 5.30pm.

Consisting of vocalist Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard, the band are renowned for their smash-hits Shes So Lovely, Heartbeat and Elvis Ain't Dead and will come to the Vale on the same week their third album hits the shop shelves titled The Light Between Us.

The group, who are touring across the UK in October, saw their debut album titled namesake 'Scouting For Girls' hit the top of the UK Album Chart back in January 2008.

Scouting For Girls' visit follows other big name guests to have visited the store in recent times such as chart-toppers McFly in March last year and Alex Day in April.

Entry to the store on the day will cost £2 which includes entrance to the band's performance and signing session as well as being in a raffle for a chance to win some prizes.

Fans can gain Priority Entry by pre-ordering or buying the new Scouting For Girls album in store ahead of the big day.

Natalie Boyles, Rapture Entertainment store manager, said she and her fellow staff were delighted to have Scouting For Girls coming along.

"We are delighted they are coming and really looking forward to it," she told the Observer. "Their first two albums were really good and we're hoping their third album will just be as good. It's going to be a really good day.

"We've had a great response since breaking the news on our Facebook page so it looks as if there will be lots of people coming and it will be busy."
