EVESHAM United begin their Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West campaign by entertaining Sholing at the Jubilee Stadium this Saturday (3pm).
The Robins start the season in confident mood following a successful pre-season friendly programme.
The latest was a 2-0 victory over Evo-Stik Northern Premier League division one south outfit Sutton Coldfield Town on Thursday night, courtesy of two penalties from Leigh Downing.
Evesham, who were relegated from the Premier Division last term, will be eager to make a swift return but they face a tough test in their opener as Sholing reached the play-offs last season.
The Southampton outfit finished fourth in the table last season and then lost 1-0 at Gosport Borough in the play-off semi-finals.
Evesham follow up with a trip to Yate Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
