ANOTHER vacant shop in Evesham has been filled as the town continues to bite back against the recession.
Town Mayor, Coun Robert Raphael, was on hand on Saturday (July 21) to open The Little Present Shop in Vine Mews.
The shop, which sells an array of gifts for all occasions, has been set up by Vale businessman Jerry Lawrence and his partner Clare Waite with the help of a start up grant from Wychavon District Council.
Mr Lawrence said he hoped to bring business back to the town.
"We've always had an ambition to set up a business together and we were thrilled the mayor found time to officially open the shop," he added.
"It has been hard work setting it up but I always enjoy new challenges. I just hope that local people will come down and support us and like what we’ve got to offer."
