CELEBRITY comedian Lucy Porter is to make a special appearance in Evesham as she warms up for the world's biggest ever comedy festival.
Porter, who has appeared on shows such as Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You, will be taking to Evesham Arts Centre stage on Friday, July 20 to perform a preview of her new show People Person ahead of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which starts next month.
Starting at 8pm, visitors to the Victoria Avenue venue will get the chance to see a preview of the show which draws on Lucy's academic background as a student and her social times as a party animal.
Porter's distinctive, bouncy and feel-good comedy has been a huge hit with audiences all over the country and her success has seen her perform in places on the other side of the globe including Miami and Las Vegas.
The night will also see fellow talent Chris Mayo in action previewing his upcoming Edinburgh show Identity Crisis in front of the Evesham crowd.
Mayo has been performing stand-up comedy all over the UK since 2005 and has worked alongside big names in the circuit including Dave Gorman, Stephen Merchant, Russell Kane and Lee Mack.
Each of these shows is normally an hour long with the comedians using them to test and polish up their material before hitting the big Edinburgh stage.
