RESIDENTS and visitors to Pershore will be able to see Matthew Bourne's triumphant re-interpretation of Swan Lake in stunning digital 3D later this month.
The ballet/play will be screened in the town's Number 8 Community Arts Centre on Saturday, July 21 starting at 7pm.
An iconic production, Bourne blends dance, humour and spectacle with extravagant, award-winning designs by Lez Brotherston to create a provocative and powerful Swan Lake for our times.
The stellar cast includes Richard Winsor as the lead swan/stranger, Dominic North as The Prince and Nina Goldman as The Queen.
Breathtaking in its drama and intensity, its 3D appearance creates an illusion of space around the dancers, drawing audiences onto the stage and brings a dramatic realism to the story.
Collecting over 30 international theatre awards, Swan Lake has been acclaimed as a landmark achievement on the world-wide stage and has become the longest running ballet in the West End and on Broadway.
Tickets are on sale now from the Number 8 Box Office on 01386 555488 costing £16.50 for adults and £12 for those aged 16 and under. For more information visit www.number8.org.
