A QUARTET of Evesham Swimming Club girls represented the club in impressive style at the Worcester County Relays as they brought home numerous medals.
Chloe Golding, Molly Hardwick, Katie Wright, and Chloe Mabbett were the only team from the club to enter, but they certainly did ESC proud.
The team entered two events - the 13/14 years 4x50m freestyle relay and the 13/14 years 4x50m medley relay - and brought home silver and bronze medals.
The first event was the freestyle relay in which Golding took on the first leg and put the team in a good position as she achieved a personal best time of 29.76.
Golding handed over to Hardwick who maintained the same position and also clocked in a PB of 30.
Wright was up next and swam a 31 and she then passed on to Mabbett who gained two places for Evesham and also clocked a new PB of 28.8.
The girls finished second in their age group and just missed out on first place to Stourbridge.
In the afternoon came the medley relay and all the girls were able to swim their favourite strokes - Hardwick on backstroke, Mabbett on breaststroke, Golding on butterfly and Wright on freestyle.
Hardwick on the first leg touched in fifth place and was followed by Mabbett who gained a place for the team.
The third leg was swam by Golding who got the team into third place and then passed to Wright who maintained that place.
The ESC girls managed to finish in seventh place overall despite only entering two events, whereas the other teams had more squads and entered more events.
