CAMERAS at the ready! The Evesham Observer has teamed up with the town's Specsavers store to launch a spec-tacular photographic competition to find the area’s best amateur photographers.
We are challenging keen snappers to capture the heart of Evesham and its surroundings in our Life Through a Lens Competition.
So, whether it is a shot of Evesham Abbey, a snap of the beautiful Tudor houses, or an iconic image that depicts the qualities of the town, we want to see it.
The competition is open to amateur photographers of any age – and there are great prizes up for grabs. The winning entry will receive a Panasonic Lumix digital camera worth around £200, provided by Specsavers Evesham.
There will also be two runners up prizes of canvas prints courtesy of Jessops in Evesham, one measuring 24” x16” and one 18” x12”.
CT Wong, store director of Specsavers in Evesham, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local amateur photographers to showcase their talent. We thought it would be good to give readers a really wide brief so we’re really looking forward to seeing the best Evesham has to offer."
The Evesham Observer will be showcasing some of the best photographs throughout the coming weeks. A shortlist will be selected by the Evesham Observer editor Gary Smee and Specsavers Evesham store director CT Wong. The shortlist of entrants will be invited to a presentation ceremony at the Specsavers store in Bridge Street.
Entries will preferably be submitted as JPEG images via email or on CD but will be accepted as hard copies. The closing date for entries is Friday, August 31.
To enter complete the entry form below and send it with your photo to Life Through a Lens Competition, Evesham Observer, Webb House, 20a, Church Green East, Redditch, B98 8BP or email editor@eveshamobserver.co.uk with Life Through a Lens Competition in the subject box.
