FORMER Dynasty star Kate O'Mara is just one of several big names from the world of television who will perform an Agatha Christie classic in Cheltenham later this month.

The Agatha Christie Theatre Company bring a new production of the crime writer's story Murder on the Nile to the Everyman Theatre in Regent Street between May 28 and June 2.

As well as the prolific stage actress, the show will also star Denis Lill who has recently appeared in hit dramas The Royal and Doctor Who and Susie Amy - star of 71 Degrees North and Footballers' Wives.

Chloe Newsome, famous for her role as Vicky McDonald in Coronation Street, and Soldier Soldier actor Ben Nealon also take to the stage.

The story centres around honeymooners Simon Mostyn and his wealthy socialite wife Kay who find themselves being pursued by an old flame of the newly-wedded groom.

Tragedy then strikes when a body is discovered and all fingers point to Simon's ex fiancée. But all is not what it seems and holidaying cleric Canon Pennefather is drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit as he finds himself on the trail of a ruthless murderer.

Directed by Joe Harmston, Murder on the Nile promises a host of colourful characters and all the twists and turns to keep audiences guessing all the way to the final shattering climax.

Each show begins at 7.45pm with afternoon performances taking place on May 31 and June 2 at 2pm.

Tickets cost between £10 and £25 plus a booking fee and are available by visiting or by calling the box office on 01242 572573.
