TELEVISION funnyman Jon Richardson will perform live in Evesham later this year, it has been announced.

The team captain on comedy panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats will perform at the Evesham Arts Centre on June 30 as part of a three-day summer comedy festival being held at the Victoria Avenue venue.

Richardson, the new host of Channel 4's Stand Up For The Week and a best selling author, will be at his hilarious best discussing the everyday items that have a profound effect on his outlook.

Comedy event organiser Keith Norledge from Evesham Arts Centre said: "We're really excited to get someone of Jon's stature on the bill. His appearance on Saturday 30th June will actually be the last date on his 2012 Funny Magnet UK tour.

"The shows have already attracted a lot of interest, with tickets being sold to comedy fans across the country. The tour is bound to sell out fast, so I'd suggest booking tickets sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment."

Aside from his Channel 4 shows, Richardson's TV credits include Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Further details of other acts lined up for the comedy festival which begins on June 28 will be released at a later date. Negotiations are already underway with another big name to headline the Friday night slot.

Tickets for Jon's show can be purchased now costing £13 and are available by visiting, calling the Box Office on 01386 446944 or from the Almonry Heritage Centre on Abbey Road.
