AN AWARD-winning international firm based in Evesham has been recognised in a prestigious list featuring the fastest profit-making businesses.
Engineering company Matcon Group Ltd, based at the Vale Park West Industrial Estate, has been listed in The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 which lists 100 private companies in the UK with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years.
The company, which specialises in providing solutions for handling and processing powders, granules, tablets and other materials, achieved 64th place in the league table after seeing a substantial growth in profits between 2007 and 2010.
Matcon also has a worldwide presence liaising with many of the world's leading food, pharmaceutical, plastics and chemical manufacturers.
And their latest achievement comes more than a year after moving its headquarters into a new multi-million pound building in the town which was opened by Mayor Jim Bulman in February last year.
Charles Lee, Matcon’s managing director said: "Our inclusion in this listing is a reflection of the dedication and world class professionalism of our global team, coupled with our superb range of innovative powders handling solutions.
"Most importantly it shows that our many customers in food, pharmaceuticals and so many other industries recognise the benefits of working with Matcon to achieve lean manufacturing."
