THE WIFE of Jesse Richards has appealed to his killers to let the family know where his body is so they can lay him to rest properly.

Amy Richards spoke following the sentencing of five men at Birmingham Crown Court and said it was finally time to give her and the couple's three children some peace.

"I would like to thank the police for their help, it has taken me a lot to put my trust in them," she said.

"It is not the normal traveller way but I am glad they gave this to the police to investigate.

"We just want Jesse back so we can lay him to rest and say goodbye.

"I’m pleased the men have been convicted of doing wrong but why cannot they now do something right and tell us where Jesse is."

Jesse's mother Lucy said she had worn black and been in a constant state of grief since he was taken and would continue to as a mark of respect.

"I have channelled all of my anger and upset from grief into protecting my 11 grandchildren and three children," she added.

"My life will never be the same, as you may expect and my sadness drives me to search for Jesse on a daily basis.

"I know most of these men have children and families and ask them to put themselves in my shoes and give Jesse back so I may say goodbye.

"I ask them to imagine if their daughter or son was to be taken how would they feel not to see, hug or kiss them again or say goodnight.

"I would get on my hands and knees and beg for Jesse back if it would make any difference. Those that know me would say that I am a very proud lady but I would stand by my words to have my son back."
