TEENAGERS have been urged to board Wychavon District Council's Youth Bus when it next makes a stop in the Vale.
The council's mobile fun and entertainment vehicle has clocked up the miles in recent months and continues to visit different rural villages each week throughout the district.
The Youth Bus helps young people in particular to connect with one another, make new friends and access a range of activities, information and themed workshops.
In 2011, the Youth Bus made more than 72 stops to villages across the district and more than 600 young people got on board.
Youth workers have gathered feedback to find out what young people and residents think of the service the Youth Bus provides and also to help plan further sessions and improve what's on offer.
Parishes are now hiring the bus and regular stops include Honeybourne, South Littleton and Cropthorne while the service also supports youth clubs in Norton, Offenham and Bretforton.
Rob Mace, Wychavon's Youth Bus Co-ordinator said: "It’s fantastic that people in Norton have managed to set up a really successful youth club, which young people in the area use regularly.
"Taking the Youth Bus to Norton helps us support the valuable work the youth club does in engaging with young people.
"And at a time when resources are limited, it is crucial that local people and communities get involved and the Youth Bus can also provide a way to help set-up local projects."
The bus will be in Peopleton on May 3 between 5pm and 7pm, Cropthorne on May 8 between 6.30pm and 8pm and Long Lartin on May 15 between 6pm and 7.30pm.
Further events are planned on May 24 in Honeybourne between 5pm and 6pm and Bretforton between 6.15pm and 7.30pm while on May 31 the bus will be in Whittington between 4pm and 5.15pm and at Norton Youth Club from 5.30pm to 7pm.
