PUPILS at a Vale school got into the Easter spirit by enjoying a church service and a day of celebration.
Every year Church Lench First School hold a service at the nearby All Saints Church to further children's awareness of the religious meanings of Easter.
After the service children and parents came back to the school for tea and biscuits where the youngest pupil dressed up as an Easter chick and handed out easter eggs to the other children - an ongoing tradition.
This year the duty of Easter chick fell to four-year-old Emina Selcuk.
Headteacher Anne Freer said: "This is a school tradition we have every year and once again the children loved it. It is a nice way to celebrate the Easter holidays and mark the end of term."
