A MAN was taken into hospital this morning (Friday) after the lorry he was driving overturned in Bidford-on-Avon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the junction of the A46 and B439 at about 10am to find the driver with a cut to his head before they removed him out of the vehicle.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found a lorry, containing a cargo of fruit, on its side. The driver, a man in his 40s, was inside the cab and had suffered back pain and a cut to his head.
“Crews worked with the fire service to immobilise him with a neck collar and spinal board inside the cab before extricating him from the vehicle."
The driver was then taken to the Alexander Hospital in Redditch for further treatment.
