A THIEF stole hundreds of pounds in cash after smashing the front passenger window of a car parked in a Vale village.
The incident took place on Friday (March 30) about 12.15pm in South Littleton when a man broke into a black Audi A6 Estate outside the village's post office on Main Street.
A white Ford transit van, driven by a woman, pulled up before the man was seen to get out and smash the front passenger window of the Audi.
It was later discovered hundreds of pounds in cash, which had been left in a bag in the footwell of the passenger seat, had been stolen.
The man who broke into the car is described as white with a tanned complexion, in his late 20s and was wearing a blue Adidas track-suit and a dark hooded top and the woman driver is described as white, aged between 35 and 50 with brown hair.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward and would like to know details of where the thieves were heading to after the incident.
PC Andrew Smith from Evesham police station said: "We have managed to trace the van involved in the theft but unfortunately the offenders are still outstanding.
"They were seen leaving the village in the direction of Honeybourne along Blacksmiths Lane and we are keen to hear from anyone who saw where they went from there.
"I would urge anyone who was in South Littleton at the time of the incident and saw what happened to call us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should call PC Smith on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
