ONE OF Evesham's busiest roads was left gridlocked after a lorry overturned this afternoon.
The accident, which happened about 1.35pm outside the Volkswagen Garage at the junction of the A46 Evesham bypass and the A44 Broadway Road, caused major tailbacks as cars were forced to divert their journeys.
The driver was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor head injuries. No-one else was injured during the accident.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police warned drivers to expect heavy traffic in the area during and beyond rush hour as it could take several hours to remove the lorry from the road.
