A MAN was left seriously injured with a deep wound to his arm after being assaulted in Evesham.
The incident happened on Sunday (March 25) in Mill Street at the junction with Mill Bank at about 9.20pm when the man was cut by a sharp instrument.
Police believe the victim was assaulted following an altercation in the street with another man who he may have known.
A man in his 30s was arrested later in the day but was later released on bail while the police investigation continues.
Detective Constable Debbie Whitehead from Wychavon CID said: "This was an isolated incident and the victim was badly wounded. The injury is likely to leave him with a permanent scar.
"I would urge anyone who was in the Mill Street area at the time of the incident and saw what happened to get in touch."
