PUPILS at a Vale school got to experience a day in the life of Jack Sparrow when they dressed up as pirates.

Bowbrook House School in Peopleton near Pershore celebrated the leap year with cries of walk the plank on Wednesday (February 29) by having a special pirates day.

A pirate ship sailed into the school and pupils climbed on board to take part in fun and games as well as mysterious treasure hunts.
