A BRAND new event for artists and craftspeople is to take place in the Vale this summer, it has been announced.

The Blossom Vale Arts Fair will run between June 9 and 17 and will coincide with this year's Broadway Arts Festival.

The event will see artists and makers in the area opening the doors to their homes and studios to visitors as well as hosting exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations.

Organising the fair is artistic couple Mark Gallagher and Wendy Stafford who are looking for as many artists as possible to take part to help make the event a blossoming success.

"I am really pleased that we are able to put on this showcase of all the talent we have in the Vale of Evesham," Mark said.

"In previous events we have organised there has been such a good response that we wanted to make it even bigger and better than ever this year. That is why we have timed it to run with the Broadway Arts Festival.

"We really want to make our area one of the UK's most culturally exciting places to be this June."

The organisers would particularly like to see more young people take part to encourage the development of the next generation of artists in the Vale.

Artists interested in taking part should contact Mark Gallagher by emailing or call 01386 424728. For more information visit
