A WOMEN's rugby club in the Vale can now look the part after a family business provided them funds to buy a brand new kit.
Pershore Women's Touch Rugby Club have been boosted with the financial support of fuel company Boughton Fuel Oils of Droitwich who have have their name as shirt sponsors.
The team will be playing in their brand new kit tonight (Friday) at Sixways in front of a crowd of more than 12,000 spectators during the interval of the Worcester Warriors home league clash against current Aviva Premiership champions Saracens.
The club were invited to take part by Worcester Warriors and aim of their appearance is to give fans a demonstration of the non-contact sport against Crowle Originals which was the forerunner to the Pershore team.
Fizz Bewley, founder of the women's team said all the team were grateful of the company's support.
"Boughton have literally fuelled our club's progress," she said. "We are all having such fun playing rugby but having a professional, attractive set of match kit has given our ladies a big boost beacuse it is the final part of us all coming together as a proper team.
"And to be wearing our new kit at the Saracens vs Warriors game is really the cherry on top of the cake for us all."
