PERSHORE Ladies Cricket Club are looking for new members of all standards and ages to join them at this exciting time at the club.
The team attracts players from all over the county and in particular South Worcestershire and prospective new players are invited to an open evening between 7-8.30pm on Thursday, February 23 at the Pershore & District Sports Club, The Bottoms, Defford Road, Pershore.
Pershore Ladies CC chairman Coral Handley said: "We're keen to develop both our junior sides and also to attract players over 16 into our ladies teams.
"Age is no barrier, so if you've always fancied playing cricket, but didn't know where to start, this is your opportunity.
"We want to hear what you would like our club to offer new players and to involve you in designing our development programme."
In 2012 Pershore's ladies first team will be the only Worcestershire team playing in the new Women's Midlands Premier League, having won Midlands Division One in 2011.
The club also runs girls sides at U13 and U15 level in the Worcestershire League, play in the Women's Indoor eight-a-side League and the Worcestershire Women's 15/15 Summer League.
For more information, please contact Coral Handley on 07773 491203 or e-mail greystones@orange.net.
Pershore Ladies are also on Facebook and Twitter (@pershorecricket) and there is more information on the club website at pershore.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp.
