PARKING charges are set to be reduced in Broadway in a bid to attract more shoppers to the village.
For three Fridays in February, the 10, 17 and 24, visitors to the Cotswold village will pay just 20 pence for up to three hours in short stay car parks at any time of the day.
Coun Paul Middlebrough, leader of Wychavon District Council, said it decided to reduce prices again following success over Christmas.
"Traders in Broadway felt that Christmas was already a busy time of year, so they would prefer to attract shoppers over the quieter month of February," he said.
"Broadway has so much to offer to its visitors and shoppers with a myriad of independent traders offering unique products and great places to eat and drink.
"Of course the brilliant play area offers fun for children and adults alike and so the discounted parking will help make the Broadway experience even better."
Nigel Robinson, chairman of the Broadway Traders Association added: "We urge visitors to take advantage of this half-term offer and to come and visit Broadway with their families and friends."
Posters will be put up to advise visitors when the changes will be taking place.
