FOUR sixth form students from Pershore High School are celebrating after being accepted by country's two leading universities.

Jack Capel-Shyu, 17, has been offered a place to read Engineering at Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge and Joshua Carr, 17, is heading off to same university to study Natural Sciences.

Lucy Hanson, 18, from Birlingham, will be aiming to achieve the terms of her offer from the University of Cambridge to study Law and Harry Mallinson, 18, has received an offer to read Physics and Philosophy at Oriel College at the University of Oxford.

Headteacher Clive Corbett said "As delighted as I am at the successes of these students, I also recognise the tremendous achievements of our Sixth Formers. It is a tribute to their endeavours and the fabulous support of the Sixth Form team and their teachers.

"These outstanding students are among many others to have already received offers for competitive subjects at a number of the top universities across the country."
