THE FINAL line-up for this year's W-Factor competition has been confirmed with a multitude of skills set to go on show next month.
For the past few weeks dozens of talented youngsters have been showcasing an array of talents at various locations throughout the district but the shortlist has now been chosen for the glittering final at Pershore Number 8 on February 27.
Competing in under-14 singers category will be Aimee Robinson and Immy Ackland, both from Evesham, alongside Lauren Bough from Droitwich and Georgia Simpson from the Crowle area.
In the older singers age group (14 to 18-years-old) Pershore's Ella Brown will be up against Charlii Harrington from Peopleton, Rose Johnson who lives in Sedgeberrow and Georgina Biggin from Droitwich.
The dance category is set to be a hotly contested section with Mezzo Dance Company competing against Matilda Maginnis from Crowle, Maccarthi-Felton School of Dancing from Evesham and the surrounding areas and Evesham ballet dancer Alice Spragg.
Pianist Leah Jennings will be displaying her talents in the musician category competing against the Blue Monday Jazz Quartet and rock band Flipsideskin, both from Droitwich.
In the alternative category, only Molly Bater from Pershore and Emily Coopery from Upton Snodbury made it through with their comedy sketch but there are still more places up for grabs for people with skills in short films or visual arts. Submissions need to be received by February 6. To apply call Tracy Grubb on 01386 565168 or e-mail tracy.grubb@wychavon.gov.uk.
Jenny Davis, arts development officer at Wychavon, said: "We would encourage anyone who wants a fun night out to come down to the event at Number 8.
"The young people work really hard to make their acts entertaining and professional and always put on a really great show. We look forward to seeing the talent again and crowning our winners."
Tickets for the show are £5 each and available from Pershore Number 8 or by calling the box office on 01386 555488.
