THREE off-road motorbikes and accessories worth up to £15,000 were stolen by thieves after they broke into a Wyre Piddle home.

The incident happened between 11.30pm on Wednesday, January 4 and 8.30am on Thursday, January 5 when the thieves forced open the garage door of a house in Polar Avenue before taking off with the bikes, four pairs of boots and protective clothing.

The models stolen included a lime green Kawasaki KX250 YCF, a red Honda CR250, a blue Carrera mountain bike and a white Cannondale road bike. Another blue off-road motorbike was taken.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information especially anyone who has seen or been offered the motorbikes.

PC Kenneth Hawkins from Pershore police station said: "This is a high value burglary and the young man who owns the bikes is an up-and-coming competitor.

"The motorcycles have no registration plates on them and a child's blue off-road motorbike was also taken in the burglary, in addition to the two push bikes.

"I would appeal to anyone who is involved in the off-road biking scene and knows the whereabouts of these bikes to call us so we can return them to their owner."

Anyone with information about the incident should call PC Hawkins on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
