Mystery surrounds death of Vale couple

MYSTERY still surrounds the death of a Vale couple who died on a family holiday in Morocco.
Roger and Mathilde Lamb from Pensham near Pershore both fell at different buildings a few days apart while on holiday with their four children in the resort of Essaouira.
A spokeswoman from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) confirmed Mrs Lamb, aged 44 and known as Tilly to friends and family, fell from the window of an apartment but the exact details of what happened were still being investigated.
Mr Lamb, 47, then died a few days later in a separate fall. The FCO is providing consular assistance to the family but could not confirm when the bodies would be flown back to Britain.
Mrs Lamb's body is due to be repatriated to Wiltshire, where some of her family are from. It is not yet known where her husband will be taken.
The couple's four sons have flown back to the UK and are being cared for by relatives.
A statement released by the families of the couple said their main concern was now for the welfare of the children.
"Roger and Tilly's families have been deeply shocked and saddened by their tragic deaths while on holiday in Morocco," the statement said.
"Our principal concern at the moment is to provide love and support to their four sons who have had to suffer the loss of both a mother and a father in swift succession.
"The boys are being well cared for by relatives.
"We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the British consular authorities in Morocco for their invaluable assistance."
The Rev Terry Henderson of St Michael's Church in nearby Great Comberton said they were heavily involved in community life.
"Everybody knew them and hence everybody is very sad and very shocked," he added.
"They were very supportive people and we shall miss them very much."
